Starting a subscription
How to subscribe to a Fibly plan from the dashboard, what we need for the invoice, and when the first charge happens.
You choose a plan, enter your company details and pay by card in Settings, Usage and billing. Nobody from our team has to be involved, and the new limits apply a few seconds after the payment goes through.
Before you start
- You need the Administrator or Manager role. Agents can see the plan and usage, but not the billing details, cards or payment actions (see Roles and permissions).
- Have your company details to hand: name, address and tax ID (NIP for a Polish company, a VAT ID for a company elsewhere in the EU). They determine the VAT we charge and they end up on your invoice.
- Have a payment card ready. Subscriptions are charged to cards only. BLIK and Przelewy24 are not available here, because neither supports automatic recurring charges.
How to subscribe
- Open Settings, Usage and billing. In the Billing details form, fill in your company name, address and tax ID, then click Save billing details. You cannot subscribe until these details are complete.
- Under Payment methods, click Add card, enter your card details and click Save card. Subscribing requires a default card on file.
- Click Subscribe, choose your plan and click Continue.
- Complete the payment form, and read the recurring-payment terms shown above the button. By confirming, you allow us to charge your card every month until you cancel.
- Click Subscribe. Your bank may ask you to authenticate the transaction (3-D Secure); complete that step in the window your bank opens.
- Stay on the page for a moment. It waits for confirmation from the payment provider and then shows your active plan, credit allowance and seat limit.
Add-ons (extra credits, extra seats) are bought once the subscription is active, with Manage add-ons; see Add-ons.
What you pay and when
The first payment is taken as soon as you confirm; there is no trial period. From then on, the same amount is charged automatically on the renewal date shown in Settings, Usage and billing.
Moving up from the Free plan. If you subscribe while you are on the Free plan, the paid plan does not start straight away: it is scheduled to start the day after your current free month ends. The dialog shows that date, nothing is charged when you confirm (click Done), and your default card is charged on the start date.
Prices are given net, in PLN. VAT is calculated automatically from your address and tax ID, and both amounts appear on the payment before you confirm it. Fibly bills monthly; annual and quarterly billing exist only in Enterprise contracts.
Card details and security
The card form is served by Stripe, our payment provider, and your card number goes straight to them. It never reaches Fibly's servers. All we keep is the brand, the last four digits and the expiry date, which is what you see listed in Settings, Usage and billing.
Cards on file
You can keep more than one card in the dashboard:
- Add a card at any time, not just during checkout.
- Set a default: the default card pays for renewals and for any add-on you buy.
- Remove a card you no longer use. While you have an active subscription, you cannot remove your only card or the default one. Add the replacement first, make it the default, then remove the old one.
Expiry reminders
We watch the expiry date of your default card and send an email 30 days before it expires, a second one 7 days before, and an urgent one once it has expired. Each is accompanied by a banner in the dashboard.
If your bank issues a replacement card and Stripe picks the new details up automatically, the reminders stop on their own and there is nothing for you to do.
