Creating an account
How to sign up for Fibly yourself and what the setup wizard does after you sign up.
You can create a Fibly account yourself, without talking to our sales team. Signing up takes a few minutes, and right after it a setup wizard helps you get your bot running.
Signing up
Go to app.fibly.io/signup, or click Sign up on the login screen. Then:
- Fill in the Create your Fibly account form: your First name, Last name, Email address, Workspace name (usually your company name) and Country. Accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Marketing consents are optional.
- Check your email. We send a verification link to the address you entered. Click it to continue. If the message doesn't arrive, you can resend it from the same screen.
- Set a password for your new account.
- Verify your phone number. We text you a 6-digit code. Numbers from Poland, the United Kingdom and Germany are accepted.
- Choose your plan. The Free plan starts straight away with Start for free. With a paid plan, you'll also add billing details and a payment card.
When you're done, you'll see a welcome screen with a Set up your bot button that opens the setup wizard. Your account gets the Admin role, with full access to the dashboard.
Each phone number can be used for only one workspace on the Free plan.
The setup wizard
The wizard takes you from an empty workspace to a configured bot in a few steps. You can skip a step or leave with Exit setup at any time, and change everything later in the dashboard.
- Language: the language your bot starts conversations in.
- Website: your site's address. Fibly reads your site and uses it to fill in the next steps. If you don't have a site yet, tick I don't have a website yet.
- Bot: a draft brand description, welcome message and character, prepared from your site. Change anything you like.
- Widget: the colors of the chat button and window. Placement, mobile display, button text and the welcome notice are in Widget settings.
- Install: the code snippet to paste into your site, with instructions for domain verification. If someone else looks after your site, you can email them the instructions straight from this step.
- Knowledge base: Fibly builds the first version of your knowledge base from the pages of your site. This keeps running in the background, so you can move on. If it can't be built automatically, you can add articles yourself at any time.
- Done: suggestions for what to do next, such as connecting more channels or inviting a teammate.
What's next
After the wizard, go through the quick start to check that nothing is missing, and test your bot by following Installation verification.
