Installation verification

How to check that the Fibly widget works correctly after embedding it on your site.

After pasting the script and verifying your domain, it's worth making sure the widget really works and connects to the platform.

Test 1: the widget icon on your site

Open your site in incognito mode (to bypass the cache and browser extensions). The chat button should appear in the bottom-right corner.

If you can't see it:

  • reload the page bypassing the cache: Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows / Linux) or Cmd + Shift + R (macOS),
  • check that the Enable widget option is active in the Fibly panel under Widget settings,
  • make sure your site's domain has the Verified status under Settings, Domains.

Test 2: the first conversation

Click the chat icon and send a test message, e.g. "Hi, what are your opening hours?". The bot should reply within a few seconds.

In the panel, under the Conversations tab, you'll see the conversation that was just recorded. That's proof the widget communicates with the platform.

Test 3: specific pages

If you embedded the widget only on individual pages (e.g. a WordPress Custom HTML block), go through a few key addresses (home page, contact, terms and conditions) and check that the widget appears where you expect it.
